Investment - CIMB StarSaver Account

Saving is important but where to put your saving to generate more income is even more important.  I have invested majority of my saving into stock and unit trust as those investment will give higher return as compared to the interest rate from the saving account.  But as you know, it is very important to have part of your saving in cash for emergency situation, thus we have to put a part of our saving in normal saving account.

As you know the interest rate provided by local banks for normal saving account is very low (only 0.25%), thus I am looking for a saving account that gives a higher interest rate.  Then during the search, I noticed the StarSaver Account from CIMB.  This accounts offered an interest rate of 1.2%.  This is 5 times higher when you compared with other banks that only offered an interest rate of 0.25%.
